[23-11-2005] Update to DirectX 9.0c and Network Issues
A small technical news item following the issues some players have reported linked to DirectX or network issues.
Since this morning's maintenance, any computers that don't have the latest version of DirectX (version 9.0c from August 2004) may encounter problems with the game. If a previous version is installed on your computer, we recommend that you update without delay, which can only increase performance on your machine.
To download and install DirectX 9.0c, follow this link, select the language of your operating system then follow the installation process.
If you do not know which version of DirectX you have on your computer, you can find out by clicking on "Start" and then "Run". Type dxdiag in the command line box and click on OK. The DirectX diagnostics program will load up and you can find out which version of DirectX you are using by looking at the last few lines displayed. Then click on Cancel and do not touch anything if you do not fully understand how your PC works.
Independant from the maintenance this morning, or the DirectX issue, some network problems have appeared on our servers since the beginning of the week. Investigations are being performed with out partners and if you encounter any problems, do not hesitate to send us Ping Plots and Traceroutes if you can.
