Title: who will be playing Rift and what class are you considering?
Post by: TenzorDK on 30 January, 2011, 10:47:26 PM: so far i know Adoc, Slaanesh, Bure and Bure's friend and myself.

Remember this game rewards grp play, most quests are very grp friendly and the grp xp loss per kill is very low, moreover do most classes have abilities that helps the grp besides dps (meaning CC, spot heal, protection skills etc.) hence grp = good ;)

(this thread was made due to a request as to who will be playing this game)

Post by: Bure on 31 January, 2011, 08:07:19 AM: I know i will play Mage to begin with. and it will be 3 Rolls, 1:e necromancer as primary 2:e chloromancer as primary and 3:e will be a Pyromancer. So i can play solo and i can be offhealer and i can be dps if group need.

i have played with this rolls in beta and have worked really good...

Im going to play it aswell and im thinking of playing a Marksman/ranger/assassin combo, or champion/paragon/riftstalker combo.

i dont care what side i will end up on but i think i would prefer PvE server but i would go pvp if the majority goes pvp.

well the game is out the 24th this month :P and the last beta is the 15th this month :D so you have to hurry ^^

I will also roll a fun duo with a friend of mine. He's quite interested in joining up with TDA I think. So which server are you guys gonna start on?

Post by: Aerendur on 18 February, 2011, 12:34:52 PM: Im testing a bard atm, feels like a really strong (although a bit weird) class. Not the top dps, but you have a song that does dmg and heals. Its quite funny.

I will be playing with a mix of people from different games, you might know tapa or larutha. :D

So what classes are people liking (or disliking)? And why?

Ive been testing a bard. Its a great class, nice util, decent dps and decent heals. Dont expect superb hits, but it can work ace as a secondary healer that has songs and some decent enough dps.

Post by: Hanza on 18 February, 2011, 10:54:27 PM: i might get my ass tempted to start t o play too... have been toying around with character builder and i think the most appealing to me would be a main tank paladin/warlord for group/raid utility

or a cleric juticiar /shaman... depends also on groups etc ... still haven t really made up my mind if i dare to play another mmo or not :)

i now have a paladin/ marksman 15 and a necro /chloromancer 10... this one seems to be a good combo not sure how proficient the casters will be in this game tho ... gonna play a bit more with thos to see what is the most appealing :)

sorry for the confusion it wasn t a marksman but a warlord... battle cry group buff etc ....

marksman is a rogue class :s haven t tried any rogue... not really my kind of play style, i ve never been into leather stuff anyway :D

i respec my pally to riftblade and i have to say it s totally awsome and fun to level up with ... pally get some cooltoys tho, the charge ability is great specially with the wings appearing on your back :) will get back to it when PVE will call it ... the block machine spec is not really fun to level up with. dps is low etc ...
