I was always wondering about wireless headset... since i m using head set 100% of the time i m on computer i just thaught it would involve heavy investment on batteries etc....
i m curiopus about some feed back there.
i baught myself a very decent one (with wire) for about 80€last year but i find myself always fighting with the cable like a cat with a whool string :D

Oh hanza , i had one with the same problem! The cable just kept twisting itself and it felt like it was pulling me! :D
So i generously gave it away! ^^

Hahaha, yeah I'm considering a wireless as well... the cable sucks when i want to have it on in bed as it gets tangled up in the sheets. Already had to get a USB extension cord to make it long enough. Maybe a wireless headset with chargeable battery would be good. I've heard of stuff like wireless mouse / keyboard and other crap interfering with the signal though.

I think - if you go for wireless, make sure it's Bluetooth...? With pairing there shouldn't be much interference from other equipment, but it will probably limit your choices in audio sources.

thx for the support guys, i feel less like an idiot now that i know we all share the same issue :D

So far the battery hasn't been as issue for me, but if it is running near empty I can just plug in the charging cable (microUSB) and keep on playing. The drivers tell me when the battery is around 20%.
I haven't really tested the surround bit of it, but so far I like the headset. :)
edit: the microphone is good enough for Delay not to shout at me for it. :) I think the (somewhat scary) word he used was "pleasant" :p

I am toying with the idea of getting a bluetooth headset (as in: earphones AND microphone) myself.
Unfortunately I like those things to be comfortable AND lightweight - which is a problem for battery/rechargeable powered ones. I experimented (read: wasted money on it) years ago with wireless earphones but found quality to be an issue.
Not an easy decision... :-[
