You can now read the news directly on the front page from both warhammeronline.com and war-europe.com, or at least the topics :)

Yeah sometimes it seems to load a bit slow, might write some sort of cache function later.

EDIT: I've disabled it for now, seems like it takes forever to load sometimes. The problem is that tda.nu reads urme.com which reads both war-europe.com and warhammeronline.com, when TDA.nu gets an upgraded version of PHP we can run the script directly from this server.

your ISP .. since it's they (and no, I don't work with that stuff.. someone else got the job :P) that have been a bit slow to upgrade the php/mysql stuff on it.

I found the problem why it was so slow.. apparently warhammeronline.com times out now and then when I try to reach the RSS feed. There are no problems with war-europe.com, only warhammeronline.com. That's why the feed were so slow, and were just loading for ever.

I've changed a couple of things to prevent this.

I'm now running a "cron job" every 10min to fetch the news and save it as a .html file on urme.com, tda.nu will then fetch this .html file instead. So even if warhammeronline.com is unreachable when the cron job kicks in on urme.com, it won't affect people surfing on tda.nu.
