We discussed the server on vent last night. It seemed a lot of people, including myself, had worries about the server. It felt less busy in the pve areas, it was harder to find groups for missions and such. And the pvp was Huttball 9/10 times. The guild was horrible, lots of shouting, complaining, offering goods for sell and such.
So we decided that a restart now, while all of us where under 30. Was the better choice to make. We picked a heavy server, with some friends already on it, so we would be sure it would be active and fun.
We can soon help anyone starting up! The first batch of us already hit 10+ after a few hours! So nearly back at the 19 I had on the other server!

The ravager got some Old daoc guilds. White Rose and black Company sen so far. republic or empire on lord calypho?

Servers down for maintenance the day after the patch? Ha ha ha! You can tell these are the guys who made WAR!

right a headup i am not gonna start playing, cant see my self wasting money on a game that is not even done and after talking to some mates it just seems like its just going to end up as RIFT and be a total dissapointment that ill only play cause friends play it (could have played wow instead then hehe)so gonna relax play some F2P mmos and find my self a proper job. have fun in the game

Shame Feiten, could have used you! But understandable. If only we'd know when GW2 and some other games would hit. ;D

well by the look of it, GW2 wont hit us before Q3 or Q4... i would say Q4 for marketing reason, Christmas is always a good time for new release (or shortly before)
shame since GF will be back in October that means i might not have time for GW... but we will see it s still a long time to go.
in between i ll probably try this "secret world" that looks really interesting. but i share Feitens view and probably wont try SWTOR :(

if it wasnt for teh cash the game is ok, but it should have been in beta a few more months .. but it is playable and ok fun to see the universe and play with peeps.

This game isn't finished. that's apparent. However, what's more worrying is the apparent disregard that BW have for their customers; it's so bad it's borderline comedy. Yesterday they posted their much anticipated FPS fixes to the customer care forum. Basically, it was an explanation of their UI and options system. the responses from the (rather angry) community were just comedy gold!
I've not been playing the last few days (work plus a bit of a cold - sniff sniff), but I am intending finishing the month out. My sub ends on feb 20th and I am giving it until then. I highly doubt they will make any changes though, and the prospect of end-game pvp in Ilum at a mere 10-15 fps does not thrill me.
I too am looking at f2p games at this point. I am considering EQ2 f2p (zomg) and Aion at ze min. That being said, I am swinging towards EQ2. I've played it in the past, it has a sh*t ton of content and I know what I am getting. did I mention they just redid Freeport? I wonder if you can stil betray your faction...?
It's a shame about SW;TOR, it really is. Warhammer all over again really :(

there you go feit just buy gonts account for a fiver! hah.. but yes the game issues seem abit to meh for a finished/released game. one thing is endgame content another is not having corrected the ui and other bug related issues. we will see! this game is fun ebough i think at least till gw2 or some.. problem is ftp games is that you have to pay for bags or some other silly stuff to enjoy the game.. so you end up paying for a old game, which has no players - gues that is the TDA way, heh, I mean that is what i have been doing betwixt games.

I p2p EQ2 and have full access, I think the f2p version is really bad.
You can't have more then a few plats, you can't use mastercrafted stuff etc etc... http://www.everquest2.com/free
Ive been back in the game for almost a year now and having fun... tons of conten, classes and quests ;P .
And I just love the housing in EQ2, I know it's just fluff but still. :)
Im gonna play EQ2 while waiting for GW2 and The Secret World.

Downloaded eq2 the other day, although not sure what server to go ATM. Hit a brick wall with sw;tor the other day. Just didn't want to log any more. I've played eq 2 in the past, so I know what I am getting. Will do for me until I decide what's what. Maybe I just need the d&d style fix...I dunno, but tor just suddenly got very old very fast for me. Sorry chaps, but wasn't up to snuff for me in the end for a lot of reasons.
