busy withh off line game that are on sales on steam lately so i doubt this can keep you busy for a long time ... i ve heard dragon age 3 is good tho. and witcher 3 is coming soon. it will be a open world (elder scroll like) with promess of hours of gameplay... lets see.

otherwise i m afraid there is not really  any MMO that looks like worth it atm.
did you kill wow again ? ;)

You surely haven't cleared mythic BRF, right? I'm on 10/10 normal and 5 on HC atm. True there aren't any great MMOs out there at the min, certainly not from a PvP perspective.

Heya Erik, I don't know many new games, although you have Camelot Unchained access right? So that's one thing to do. Other than that all I can say is, tag along with our small team in gw2 for pvp! :P

Give EVE a try - been playing for just over 1 year and still having a blast. They have also increased the trial period to 30 days (https://secure.eveonline.com/trial/?invc=5f335cf9-1f72-43da-bbdb-8025cefe3cb7&action=buddy) recently.

I wish I had the time to dare and try Eve for once. :P Maybe this summer!

But for now, GW2 seems to be a nice place to kick some ass and have a laugh. We had a good run with the 6 of us last night!

I'd rather play Elite Dangerous and/or the Star Citizen alpha/beta/whatever they are in now than EVE (again). It's quite the difference playing with a stick and throttle compared to just clicking around in space. :p

also I can't play EVE because how I want to play it conflicts with how much actual gametime I have... :\

I think I am going to get Elite and/or Space Citizen when my bachelor's done. Especially if/when I get my hands on Oculus Rift.

The same reason for me when it comes to eve , wish they made something like Freelancer + Earth and Beyond combine those and it would be awesome!

It would appear I am a tad late with my review.

The game looks good.
When you look at the galaxy map it looks like any other space sim so far, with a few systems with various connections (jump lanes).

But then you zoom out.

It's huge.

But then there aren't that many different things to do yet. There are no definite goals in the game, you will never beat it, and there is no story line. You start out at a "random" station with a loaned ship and you go from there.

You can

However, Frontier Development have been hiring like crazy lately, and I believe this game will see massive content updates and improvements over the time to come. I'm hoping there will be better possibilities to customize my ship's appearance (or maybe I just haven't found the right stations), as well as some more than the current 17 ships.

You might want to read more professional reviews if you're looking for reasons to regret your purchase.
I've been missing a Freelancer-like game for some time and have been waiting for Star Citizen and Oculus Rift.
I'll probably keep gaming this as my only off-hand game until the bachelor project is finished.

well from our chat i figured out there might be room for some fun if grouping all together with Fizz, Fend, Fiten, good old DAoC farming group.

will log on tonight and see what can be achieved. tomorrow i ll recieve the stick and i guess that s gonna amaze me for the whole week end :)

i think ship customization coms with RL $$ but agree with you... i see potential there..; hopefully  i ll managed to stay hooked long enough for Frontier to provide more content ;)

It's silly big!

Right now i'm just grinding credits doing trade routes (which is rather boring, but good profit). Planning to buy a fighter and i've found a system i reckon will be a good home base for us. From there we can switch it up between doing missions and bounty hunting together or grind the trade routes alone. :)

I'm making an attempt at exploring. It's a big place and quite lonely, but my pimped up T-6 transporter does fairly well.. except when I nearly flew into a sun and overheating (close to 200% of what it's suppose to handle) damaged nearly every system. I had to limp back to populated space to repair :p

The reason I started now is a two week long mission (http://i.imgur.com/BZ1zUBY.png) for Alliance to discover as much as possible. There are rewards (https://i.imgur.com/Z04qj65.jpg) as well when the mission end, and they increase the more people join/deliver new data to them. (they already have after that screenshot was taken)

Unfortunately this movie seems to have been subject to the usual COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT purging, so I couldn't find the clip I wanted to show...

edit: Anyway, I feel like the pilots in that movie when I fly around, eating and drinking beer while zooming around in space. No Primus in my cockpit, though.
edit II: Fenderon pointed out my late-night typo

Have to say the exploring part of the game sounds pretty neat ! Have seen a vid or two on combat not sure what i think about that yet , fend have you played "Freelancer" or "earth and beyond" ? Pretty old games but if someone made something like Earth and Beyond id jump in asap :D

Cities Skylines if you like city building (or in my case traffic management) games.

well actually combat are pretty exciting, once you get use to the movement. some ennemies can be challanging.

i would complain about the scalling tho wich seem to be innexistant. weather you are in group of 2 or 4 ennemies are randomly poping from almost harmless to deadly dangerous, but hunting is fun. i justfinished grinding my firt Million so i m gonna start doing trade routes now :D

Combat can be pretty fun.
Exploration as it is now isn't really all that interesting, there aren't really any random events in deep space. There are some interesting sights though, nebulas etc. When exploring I have Netflix running at the same time.

I've briefly touched Freelancer and have not played E&B :\

I've also jumped on the exploration horse, and agree with Fenderon, it's not quite as moody as in Freelancer (I liked Freelancer -- I named my wireless routers after the jump gates :D). It is nice to not be that reliant on the jump gates, though. As long as you have systems within your ships jump range and there's fuel in your tank, you can jump.

I've started a little tour of the Milky way myself, so far I've been to Altair, Betelgeuse, Rigel and the Witch Head Nebula. Think there were a few others as well. Currently 1300 Lys from where I need to hand in my exploration data :p

You can't really run away from that situation Hanza... not without giving up *something* or kinda "pay" in a way. There will be a time probably, where you will miss all that family stuff and social events. You now, what I mean  ;)

If the time to do this is now - make sure you are doing it well!
