Title: Braunschweig/Hannover
Post by: Audhild on 10 August, 2016, 08:51:56 PM
Soo.. me and Buffy are going to a concert in Braunschweig nov. 17. Anyone living close enough to meet us for coffee/dinner/drinks during the weekend?  8) We'll probably stay somewhere in the area till sunday nov. 20.  :)

Braunschweig central station is a 45min+ drive from my house, depending on traffic (A2 motorway can be pain). I don't usually go to Braunschweig to have a coffee or a beer, but in this case I'd make an exception ;)

Hanza would need 2.5-3h by train or car afaik... but maybe we could sort a sleepover etc. ;)

What kind of concert btw.?

oh... in case you don't know: there's is a TDA WhatsApp Group which makes it easier to coordinate RL Meetings etc. - poke me via PM, provide your mobile phone numbers and I'll add you :D

WhatsApp is evil at times and sometimes it's just great ;) I added you to the TDA Group.

Yeah, I know David Garrett, if you like that kind of music you'll certainly have a good time! Hope you got a Hotel already. Can be expensive if you book late.

I already owe Hanza a visit (intended to go there this weekend, but decided I'd take a few days at home without plans as I return to work on Monday after a somewhat crowded summer calendar), so I'll try to convince him (and/or his missus) to let me crash on his couch. If the plane prices are anything like they looked for this weekend, it should at least not be a problem economically.

@delay
sounds good! Do you get direct flights to Münster? Otherwise Hannover Airport might be a good choice as it's Close to Braunschweig.

So.. if Delay is going to stay at your place that weekend, maybe we should consider finding a place to stay closer to where you live, Hanza? Any suggestions? :)

well it depends what the plan for the week ends are. i would understand that  people travelling over for a concer may not want to be travelling another few more hours more :)

otherwise münster is a nice city to visit too for a week end....close to my place there is litteraly nothing worth visiting beside münster itself and the surrounding. next big city would be dortmund in the south or bremen in the north but Bremen is already 1.5 hour away  :/

I dont mind the extra travelling, i kinda like trains :) And as the concert is on a thursday, we still have the whole weekend after that.
