Title: who are at classic?

i am rolling a heretic at alb side coz hib side was very crowded:P

Post by: Trallisx on 13 December, 2005, 11:00:12 AM: I started a friar on alb/glaston. Was doing all the starter quests, if it wasn't for the "Je suis un sac de merde" comments in /gu then it would almost feel like I had gone back 3 years to when I first started to play daoc.

I saw an Acolyte called Hanzza on alb, not sure if it was our famous shammy from excal or not.

But Im still pondering on going there with main account or just to delete the lvl 7 seer I got on BB account and play alb with that. Seeing how I will most likely close the BB account again for a bit to spare me some cash. (another good reason to play classic)

Got a lvl 15 savage so far. But wont take long to regain that level with the help of some of you. Id probably play a reaver and minstrel if I do go alb. Always wanted them two.

The new (not so) "classic" servers are actually pretty fun. My friar is lvl 11 but levelling her is great fun, exploring different areas, grouping like a noob, and playing with ppl from tda.

The only hard part is the trying to beat mobs with a orng con staff and grey armour :)

Exploring the main lands, reading every conversation with NPCs when doing quest, just feels, roleplayish :) and some quest can are pretty funny or sometimes sad :o

She will be the bane of all vamps, self buffs, end chant, self haste buff, slef spec AF buff. My armour is Thrust resistant and my dmg type is crush which hib leather is 10% vulnerable to. I also have elemental resists so a lot of claw dmg is lost from the vamps pov.

Level 13 atm and great fun to play. I think I've done more quests with her than I have with all my other characters put together lol.

Post by: Boness on 18 December, 2005, 12:04:54 PM: Having just started up a Paladin on one account (Caderin) and an Armsman on the other (Macbastard) I would echo Woogy's sentiments on forming an alb guild.

Having finally got both a LGM alchemist and spell crafter on Mid/Excal, with a WC well on the way, I am not inclined to go through it all again, even though without TOA it is the way to go, and wil stil spend most of my time playing Mid.

Other than revisiting the novelty of gaining xp and going up levels, playing Alb (or Hib) is an education for fighting in RvR, as I now have a better idea of just what classes they are that I am fighting, and what they can do. If only for this reason I will probably have lots of lowbie characters to see how the classes function, what they look like etc etc.

Mid for the win! Tried Alb, seemed populated by lots of Excal/Pryd Albs talking crap about how wonderful Alb is. Didn't take too much convincing to transfer to Mid though Im unsure about being in FoM, not least as I don't speak Swedish :?

Hope to dispense some hammer kobbie justice to all you smelly Albs :wink:
