There's a change to the SoM charge in a coming patch. Once you have /used2 on som you wont be able to take the shape-change buff off and just leave the proc buff. If you take the shape-change buff off, the proc disappears too.
When you're fighting with som proc buff up and have the black figre look, you don't see the coloured "swooshes" and therefore cannot tell which style you have just landed. So the animiation changes with Comeback, FrostyGaze and Snowsquall is a very welcome and much needed change.
