I was sad to read that too.

I am please to say, I had met him at a book signing in Leicester many years ago.
Was just a real nice normal guy, in a big hat.

I've enjoyed many of his books -- about the Night watch in particular.

This is a very sad moment. I talked to some people at the book fair and when I mentioned his name, some of them gave me a puzzled look and asked: 'Terry who?' and I had to reply: 'A great author with a very special sense of humor and kind of a philosophical view on fantasy and life in general. He died yesterday.' So now, when you introduce somebody to Terry's work, it's already history. Omg.

I was kinda happy to hear the news.
Dont get me wrong here i loved him and his book and read alot of his work, i admire him like most of us... however i couldn t help thinking that the sickness he had was probably the most possible twisted irony. despite totally normal behaviour on the past year at several public event he was probably having hard time to have a normal life anymore.
Sad to hear he left us... happy that he didnt eneded up in the worst possible state those sickness can leave you.

edit II: This little passage in one of the reddit threads brought a tear to my eye. It's from one of his books, obviously.
