What is your previous experience with MMORPGs?
Started out with DAoC back in 2002 sometime, Runemaster named Caerbannog, joined a friendly guild on Excalibur EU called Fellowship of Midgard. Not even sure I hit 50... Had a few fun relic raids n such but I had 15 months of military service coming up, so I didn't stick around for long. Played way more DAoC a couple of years later, on US Classic this time.
After said military service I fell into the depthless void that is WoW and stayed on and off for the next 7-8 years. Had a 3 year break in the middle tho. After said break I've mostly been the GM and run my own guild. Eventually I quit, but the GF still raids HC content.
Played some EVE Online (have a 80m SP pilot there)
Played some Warhammer (leveled up, quit)
Played some SWTOR (cleared everything right after launch, tired of bugs, everyone quit)
Played some TERA (leveled up, quit)
Played some RIFT (leveled up, quit)
Played some Wildstar (leveled up, quit)
I usually take games seriously, but if I don't feel it gives back to me for the effort put into it, I grow bored.
Why do you want to join our guild?
As I explained to climbatize in steam chat, I feel that ArcheAge seems to be a game best tackled with a guild. And one that may actually have stuff to do as an endgame (I enjoy sandbox type of games). Stumbled upon you guys on Reddit, remembered the name from "back somewhere, no idea where" and after some research it seems like a fun place to hang.
What would you expect of the guild?
Friendly environment. Good times. Fellow guildies who actually know which end of the sword to point at the enemy.
Have you been in a guild before and if so, why do you prefer us?
As I explained above, I have. I prefer you out of nostalgia right now (and a really good gut feeling after speaking to climbatize), but I hope I'll feel at home.
Do you know anyone from our guild that can vouch for you?
Probably not. Other than climbatize maybe (from a 5 min conversation), Urme (if he remembers me), Killrake (if he remembers me) etc. Pilare... And that dualwielding shadowblade... erm... My long term memory is failing me.
What are your normal playtimes?
No kids. Work normal hours. Probably 19-23 CET most workdays and mostly anytime I feel like it on weekends.
